Get Ready for 6th Grade!

"Get Ready For" is an exciting new educational video series featured on the Wyzant platform from tutors on Wyzant that empowers soon-to-be 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students to catch up and connect with classroom material before heading back to school. Each video in the series explores topics that students may have missed in a specific subject, with focus on important material they need to know.

We’ve enlisted the help of top-rated elementary educators on Wyzant, who created powerful, easy-to-follow video lessons that fill in the gaps left by school closures, and keep kids loving to learn.

Alicia graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Masters in Social Work, with a focus on Children, Youth and Families. She's spent 15 years working in youth development and education, and to date has clocked an incredible 1,550 hours tutoring on Wyzant.

Empowering Tutor

Today was my son's first lesson with Alicia and I could not have been more pleased...not only with her teaching style, which is clear, concise and empowering, but the smile on my son's face after his lesson. He felt good about himself and the work he did with Alicia and that warmed my heart. Alicia is great and we look forward to our next lesson.

Kind and Patient

Brianna is great! I was worried about my sons grades in math and even though she has only been with my son for three weeks she has taught him so much. Very kind, patient, and flexible with hours.
